Eminem, the legendary rapper and Oscar nominee for the record, Lose Yourself in 2003, launched his first non-fungible tokens (NFT) at Shady Con in collaboration with Nifty Gateway.

Just in time for Oscar Sunday. Marshall Mathers, professionally known as Eminem, the world-renowned rapper, is the next in the NFT craze line of celebrity, singers, and athletes. This Sunday, April 25, 2021, Eminem collaborated with the Nifty Gateway, the Gemini-owned NFT network.

The recent Saturday Night Live (SNL) NFT skit may have picked  Eminem’s interests. In the skit, Pete Davidson clarified what the NFTs is using the tune from Eminem’s song Without me.

Three varieties of NFTs are sold, each of which includes high-quality animations with its initial rhythm. The first two NFTs named ‘TOOLS OF THE TRADE’ and ‘STILL DGAF.’ were published in 50 editions. It cost $5,000. Using the method of first come first serve, the first clients to buy will get a hand-numbered physical printout autographed by the rapper. The third version, ‘STAN’S REVENGE’ is an edition of one, and it goes to the highest bidder. The animators of the NFTs are unknown.

On his official website, Eminem said that he wanted to provide the same atmosphere to this drop. He maybe had to get one or the entire package. Eminem added that it was a lot of fun to develop ideas from his love for collecting.

“Their request for NFTs is already growing, and we are delighted to introduce this relationship to our communities and to offer them access to the latest artwork and music on the Nifty Gateway marketplace,” said Ashley Ramos, senior manufacturer at Nifty Gateway.

The news has come when various musical acts enter the NFT craze, including Weezer, Snoop Dogg,  Grimes, Boy George, Aphex Twin, Kings of Leon, and The White Stripes.

Nifty Gateway was purchased by Gemini in November 2019 but was created in 2018 by  Griffin Cock Foster and Duncan.

On the weekend of April 25, 2021, Eminem’s N.F.T. will occur during the Shady Con.
